A little bit about my Professional life.
I have had the pleasure of being a Property Manager now for five years, I have always been drawn to Property Management and a few people including my late father thought I had the right personality for it, I also completed a Myers Briggs/Jung personality type assessment which came out that I should be Property Manager by 96%! DoubleWinkel provides a lot of good support and training and I enjoy working for them.
A lot has changed over the past five years with new regulations/legislations along with the tenants/owners responsibilities and rights, which is why I feel its a lot harder now to property manager your own properties and having the expertise of an experienced Property Manager is a good idea for many reasons.
Before I became a Property Manager I spent almost 20 years in middle to senior management in the Apparel Industry, there I learnt how to assess a situation and to undertake the necessary actions and quickly learn peoples characters and attributes which has helped me hugely in this role.
Besides being well organised, responsible and conscientiousness I believe the most important attribute and what I enjoy the most to being a responsible experienced Property Manager is communication and building up relationships of trust. Whether that is with a tenant so they are happy with where they are living, or an owner so we on the same page on how to best manage their property or properties as each owner has different needs and wants depending on if they are renting out the family home, first investment or their portfolio and with suppliers so we can be confident that they are giving us the best job, service and price so as to pass that on to our owners.
It’s my task and I want to give you the service you are wanting or require.
A little bit about my personal life
I was born and raised in Wellington and moved up to the Kapiti Coast over 20 years ago to raise by daughter who is now overseas on her OE. Being a bit of a home-body I enjoy gardening, cooking and decorating my property. I have one rental but it is rented out to my mother (who is the best tenant)
